About Us

About Us

Opening its doors in early February 2013, The Sicilian represents a compilation of restaurants from owners Tommy & Guy. Their experience in the industry across New York City allowed them to create the non-traditional pizzas you’ll find on our menu. Through trial & error, experimenting and customer feedback our menu represents the best of the best.

Using fresh ingredients the staff mixes, rolls, blends, hand tosses and bakes everything on-site. From the traditional pepperoni slice to the Taco Pizza; the Meat Stromboli to Tortellini Alfredo, our menu is full of dishes we’re sure you will love.

The Sicilian’s Logo

A lot of folks have been asking about our logo. A keen eye will recognize the map of Sicily, but a more common question is about theĀ trinacria. Taken straight from the flag of Sicily the icon is centered with the head of Medusa. The three bent legs allegedly represent the three points of the triangular shape of the island of Sicily itself.

Why “1938”?

While building up The Sicilian, getting ready to open its doors, the brother’s father took ill. In September 2012 he was taken from us. A true son of Sicily, and an inspiration to the family we are honoring the year he was born.
